Dr. Ariel Barkeim
We each have a story to tell.
My story is one of searching. After growing up on a farm in southwest Minnesota, I headed out on a journey to look for my calling. I searched high and low for a career that involved helping people address their health physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I received my undergraduate degree in School & Community Health Education from Winona State University. I then went on to work with the Boys & Girls Club in Rochester, MN for three years. Both of these experiences taught me about the many challenges we each face in terms of attempting to change our health habits. I learned to think outside the box and find creative solutions.
I received my degree in naturopathic medicine from The National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. As a naturopath, I focus on finding and treating the root of the problem instead of the symptoms. I work with individuals and families. I can help your family recover faster from a 'run of the mill' cold or help with long term "chronic" problems.
Naturopaths have a large toolbox of treatment options. Naturopathic doctors are trained in conventional treatments as well as natural treatments. Therefore I am familiar with the options you have likely been provided so far. I can help guide you through other options.
